The session from Dr Emma Gregory focuses on the development of a PebblePad workbook which aims to support the personal, clinical and professional development of speech and language therapy students through their course at the University of Sheffield.
It was recognised that a more ‘joined up’, programme-level approach was well suited to this area of student learning. The workbook was developed collaboratively with input from academic staff, learning technologists, students and external partners.
Key areas explored in the session include: engaging students to take an active role in their own academic and personal development; how to scaffold reflective learning throughout a programme; the benefits and challenges of a collaborative approach and the benefits of PebblePad to support this type of online learning.
