How Accents Interact with Ethnicity and Identity, Geography and Mobility

Chen Shen, School of English. We speak one same language to make communication possible, but we all speak it with accents to make our speech more informative and fun! English, as a global language, has more non-native speakers than people who speak it as an inherited mother tongue. Accordingly, there are more accents in spoken English than any other languages. Chen talks about the possible interactions between accents, ethnicity and identity found in the research.
