Writing a Conclusion

Conclusions should fulfil three main roles:

It signals the end of the essay - begin your conclusion with a transition signal, for example ‘To conclude’, ‘In summary’
Reminds the reader of your main points. This can be done by summarising your main point or paraphrasing your mission statement.
Leaves the reader with your final thoughts on the topic. This is your chance to leave a strong, effective message that the reader will remember.
