'The Longer Story, the Bigger Picture' is a research project about the ways in which contemporary artists from the French-speaking world have sought to challenge influential media representations of migration, migrants and refugees.
In this video, Amanda Crawley Jackson and Sophie Watt discuss their collaboration on the project. Although they both work in the Department of French Studies, Amanda and Sophie have different disciplinary backgrounds and bring different perspectives to the question of migration. Here, they discuss how they met, how they work together in practice and the importance of collaboration for their research.
