In this video, Professor Tony Prescott introduces the IntelliTable, a universal cantilever table able to move around by itself, or under user control, in an indoor environment. Future homes will integrate robotic technology into many everyday devices and objects. ‘Intelligent furniture’ will be useful to everyone but particularly to people with limited mobility.

Tony explains how a project of this nature requires collaboration across different areas of expertise, from roboticists and industrial designers to computer scientists, occupational therapists, and ex-patients.
