If you like the look of the job and you think you can meet the recruiter’s requirements, the next step is to research the organisation to understand what they do, what they offer and what their values are, so you are confident that they match your own and you can say why you have chosen to apply to them.
Don’t just search the organisation’s website. Check out other social media such as Facebook, LinkedIn™ and Twitter to find out what they are doing online. In Week 2, we’ll be taking a closer look at social media and showing you how to use it to your advantage.
Consider your motivation for wanting to apply. Use the following criteria to explore the things you like about the organisation and the sector it operates within.
