The President and Vice-Chancellor’s Annual Guest Lecture

This lecture examines the logic underlying the government’s current higher education bill.  It will conclude that it relies too heavily on naive economic arguments.  Economics has an important role to play in analysing the future of universities, but it must not play a preponderant role.
