The Department of Journalism Studies' annual International Journalism Week brings together guest speakers representing academia, news media and advocacy groups from several countries. Here some of those guests outline the issues they've been exploring with our students, including threats to journalists' freedom and safety, the political agenda and influence of the UK's popular press, and the role of local media in rebuilding African communities torn apart by conflict.
