Our purpose-built Cycle Hub is now open to all U-card holders. With capacity to park 168 bikes, the facility also features showers, male and female changing cubicles and half-height lockers which are available for a small annual fee.
Located adjacent to the Interval Bar, at the heart of the Students’ Union concourse area, this new facility has been designed to meet the needs of our ever-growing cycling community.
Important information:
- There are over 80 lockers in the Cycle Hub. All are available for staff/student subscription at only £30 per year. Contact d.hardwick@sheffield.ac.uk to see conditions of use and make arrangements.
- Swipe access is available to all with a U-card, daily from 7am-7pm. For security reasons, to access the facility outside of these times we ask that you simply register your details. Contact the EFM Help Desk (efmhelpdesk@sheffield.ac.uk) for more information.
- It is highly recommended that you secure your bike and other removable accessories – subsidised D-locks are available to purchase from the Cycle Hut next to the Arts Tower. While the Cycle Hub is more secure than open air facilities, you are responsible for your possessions.
- Ongoing work on the University’s Campus Masterplan will affect some of our bike parking, and may affect direct access to the Cycle Hub for a short time.
