Previously we’ve been looking at some of the ways you can compose simple melodic phrases, but these techniques are not just reserved for new songwriters. In fact, Mozart, one of history’s most prolific and influential composers, often used very simple techniques to create his most beautiful and enduring melodies. In this video Professor Simon Keefe, Head of the Department of Music here at the University of Sheffield, takes us through some of the different ways that Mozart used melody in his compositions.
