When we talk about secondments we are talking about internal fixed term positions that are advertised and filled by existing members of staff. Secondments can be agreed for any period exceeding four weeks and they are not usually more than one year in total.
What is a secondment?

They are an excellent way to ‘learn on the job.’ By applying for and entering a different role to your existing one, for a defined time it is possible to gain new knowledge, skills and understanding of the organisation.
They can support you to progress. For Professional Services staff this could be through obtaining increased and enhanced shared skills or exposure to different career routes.
