Inclusive Societies Conference

This is the first of a new series of annual meetings organised under the Faculty of Social Sciences theme area of 'Inclusive Societies'. The context for the event is a world of increasingly stark social divisions, politically polarized debate and new forms of expulsion from livelihoods. The conference offered a reflective space in which we can discuss social problems and the means by which responses to inequality, social injustice, crime and other issues can be identified in a constructive way. This collection offers a snapshot of some of the discussions that took place at the conference.
